Sheila-When I click on Samantha and am looking at the circle graph on the right I am wondering what the blue fraction of the graph represents, because it doesn’t have a lable. I assume that it shows the miscellaneous purchasing place, but I don’t know. In the “comparison: melting points” view I am wondering two things. #1 Are the four materials listed at the bottom what vinyl toys are made of? #2 why are some of the bars on the graph blue. You can use a key to indicate these things I have pointed out. Because your title says “designer VINYL toys I would assume that all the toys are vinyl; however, the melting points graph leads me to believe that vinyl toys are not only made of vinyl. J I am just confused about the infograph comparing amounts spent. The format is what I don’t understand the purpose for. Use a simple more understandable bar graph so that you can compare the amounts side by side J.
Hi Sheila, I think you type too fast or something like that, because you finished critiquing your other three partners pretty quickly. So...I'm critiquing you. Or myself. Talking to myself. Such a paradox. Anyways...here's some stuff to fix by friday
- Some of your infographics need some clarification. Ones such as the comparison of Munny heights lacks the note of units used.
- The usage of color in some of the infographs is confusing/misleading. Is there a reason why some of the bars/graphics were colored the way they were?
- Watch your type. In sections such as "collection" or "vinyl toys", the leading is significantly different.
-Try finessing the typography of the navigation menu more. Din seems like a nice choice - but some of the elements seem really just "placed in" at the moment.
- Try pairing the sans serif font with a serif maybe? Maybe.
Thus ends your reality-defying communication anomaly.
Love the feel of your site. The angles, the typeface and image rendering, the colors all feel like the right decision. I'm so glad your collection is right there on your intro page for me to click on and learn about right away. I get what I want!
for the most part, your infographs match your site and eachother stylistically. I noticed you have 2 pie charts that look different, tho. Check consistency of type size/placement between the homepage and all your tabs on the left. I like that the titles can be different placement/rotation/size because that's what you're doing in the title. But it would make sense to have your body copy match.
Overall I really like the usability of your site. It's very clear what is clickable, the navigation is all there. Very user friendly and I enjoy being here.
The rendering of your objects with the combination of photography and vector artwork blends cohesively with the style of the object.
Your typography is very engaging. The type characteristics in the logo are carried over in your paragraph headers and other typographic choices.
The composition of everything in your site is clearly organized. You do a very nice job of organizing all of your information. The viewer is able to access everything right from the homepage. I also like the discovery aspect of the rollover icons at the bottom.
